WIPs
S’mores Afterthought Heel socks (Ravelry link) on US 1 (2.25 mm needles) in Rock and String Creations Sashay (Ravelry link) (75/20/5 superwash merino/nylon/stellina, 430 yards/100 g) in Campfire S’mores colorway. Nine rounds plain stockinette before afterthought heel decreases. Started while waiting for my first COVID vaccine.
#sistersheepspin - knitting design 10A from Wendy Aran Book 274, purchased in Ireland in 2007. Using US 3 (3.25 mm) needles. Back, two sleeves, and two pocket linings done; one front in progress.
Yukon Jacket (Ravelry link) by Jesie Ostermiller (available in The Colorwork Bible book) on US 7, 9, 10. Jesie helped me pick colors live on Instagram! Using hot pink Fantasy Yarns Cashmere Luxury Aran (Ravelry link) yarn I frogged last summer from an almost-finished cardigan (check out the full “Finish or Frog” playlist on the Kino Knits YouTube channel) held double and several shades of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky: Ciel, Clarity, Gosling, Honey, Mist, and Navy. Had to pick up new needles at Fibre Space in Alexandria, VA. Check out my podcast interview with the owner of Fibre Space in Episode 021.
Jesie is hosting a Colorwork Bible KAL in her Ravelry group. Check out my podcast interview with her in Episode 084.
Spinning
Current spinning streak count: 136 days in a row
Working on my half a CVM Romedale fleece from Pheasantfield Farm in Chestertown, MD. Chocolate ewe named Sweetie. Have a plan to stripe it with really old handspun from my stash into a sweater. Bored with it. Need some color!
Other Crafting
Worked on my rag rug using this method.
Made macarons from scratch - check 1/12 items for the year off my List of 100 Dreams (idea from Laura Vanderkam). Used Craftsy recipe and video.
