Announcements

Hello to fleeceflicker01 and Wokendream who introduced themselves in the Kino Knits Ravelry group Introduce Yourself thread!

My newest designs are under The Tolstoy Collection! It consists of three shawls: Anna Karenina (one color), War and Peace (two colors), and The Three Questions (three colors). All feature garter stitch with added lace, texture or color play for interest, and all are based on weighing your yarn, so they are flexible in terms of yardage. This means they’re perfect for handspun!

Should I do something special for Episode 50? Submit your suggestions and enter to win a copy of The Tolstoy Collection.

Announcements

Listen to Episode 043 to see if you won all the Kino Knits patterns for 2018. If I don’t hear from the winner by the next time I record, I’ll redraw, so please leave your iTunes review for this podcast to be eligible! If you have already left a review, you’re already in it.

I’ve released a new pattern – the Hon Cowl! It was inspired by the Bawlmer (Baltimore) Hons, local ladies with big personalities and big beehive-hairdos who call everyone “Hon.” With this cheery pink cowl, I used big welted sections to echo the original kind of beehive, with a little easy lace thrown in for interest. The cowl gradually increases in circumference as you go, meaning it cascades gorgeously into a fashion layer with no styling effort. Kino Knits newsletter subscribers get a code for 50% off through January 31, 2018, so sign up for the newsletter today if you haven’t already!
