If you listened to episode 028, you heard me ask knitting designer Kristen Jancuk (MediaPeruana) how she determined which designs she submits for publication and which she publishes independently.  She has since written a great blog post about it!

The Knitting Boutique has Maribou kits for sale. This is my best-selling pattern ever and includes the yarn I used to design it. Click here to shop for the kit.

Speaking of The Knitting Boutique, we are partnering once again for a mystery knit-along (MKAL). Stay tuned for details – the design is a single-skein shawl pattern, and the fun kicks off on June 8, 2017.

Hello to , who said hello in the Kino Knits Ravelry group Introduce Yourself thread!

MKAL shawl – no picture because I don’t want to ruin the surprise! Knit on US 6 (4.0 mm) needles in one skein of The Knitting Boutique Severn Fingering (75% BFL, 25% silk) in a red-orange color. MKAL starts June 8!

Preemie Hats for the Into the Wool Fiber Retreat charity KAL. Using various 100% acrylic leftovers from my stash, all stockinette so there isn’t any texture to bother the babies. Casting on different numbers of stitches each time, since NICU babies come in all sizes.

Vanilla afterthought heel socks (no pattern) on U.S. 1 (2.25 mm) in Lollipop Yarn Traditional (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon in Kodachrome colorway).
